Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
How long do I have to put a lien of a building that work has been completed for. Our terms of net are 30 days and they are two months past due. The contractor whom we did the work for is not giving me any answers but to just wait.
Thank you,
Jill

What is the basis for your filing a lien? A contractor's lien requires that you follow very specific rules. Failure to do so will defeat the lien. See http://www.myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/pro/elboard/documents/florida_lien_law.pdf for more details.
