noncompete contracts
Is a no compete contract binding on a subcontractor if the contract does not allow the subcontractor to do work in his profession for any other client, regardless if the client continues to offer contracted employment?

To be enforceable, non-compete provisions must be reasonable as to length and geographic scope. The phrasing of your question suggests that the the non-compete agreement prohibits the subcontractor from working for anyone, anywhere, at any time. Such an agreement would not be enforceable. You should bring the agreement to an attorney to review in order to ascertain its terms and apply it to your particular fact situation.
