Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
If the owner of a private company signs only her name on a contract and not the company name or any indication of a company name, is the contract legally binding? It is a non compete contract that I signed. Any insight you can give me, would be appreciated. Thank you.

I believe there is no reason why the document would not be binding. If you are contemplating competing, you should have your document interpreted by an attorney. Non competes are fully enforceable in Florida but they must be reasonable as to scope and geographical restrictions, among other requirements.
Yes, it is likely enforceable despite the fact that she did not sign it in her corporate capacity. I suggest you have an attorney review it to make sure that it is valid and to advise you about whether the actions you plan to take violate it. Regards,
