Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
problem with a retailer
i was recently given a replacement discount card by a gamestop store because when i renewed my subscription they forgot to give me the new card. the card that was given to me had a balance of about 170 dollars on it when i went to use it the first time. naturally i assumed i could use it being that the store gave me the card. now that i have used it, the store has notified me that they accidentally gave me someone elses card that had been left in the store and that they want the money back. what i want to know is who is to blame and is it really my responsibility to repay the money?

You have the responsibility to repay the monies to the store. You knew it was not yours yet you used it anyway. It is the same as stealing.
