Can for profit business rent space from a not for profit business?
In this case a fledgling wedding cake business renting kitchen space from a church.

Of course. It is very common at temples in South Florida to have an in house catering company who rent and operate the catering facility. These companies are all for profit renting from non profit synagogues.
