Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
protecting assets from a judgement
my husband and i own a privately held corp, we just lost a judgement against us personally not against the corp. We plan on offering a settlement but our worried about our business if they refuse offer. Is it too late to sell stock certificates to someone? a none family member? We do not have much time to do this, Please if someone out there can help. I would appreciate it.

Re: protecting assets from a judgement
Any transfer now for insufficient consideration would be considered a fraudulent transfer and could be set aside by a court. I suggest you speak with your attorney. If you have none you should get one. Call me to discuss further if you wish.
