Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I purchased a large package from a laser hair removal spa with the prior company that went out of business, the price I paid was 800 dollars. Months later they were bought out by a new business. I was never notified of this change through any sort of email, letter, or phone call. I called in to schedule an appointment after finding out about the change and was told they would no longer honor it due to my last appointment being more than a year ago.
I never returned due to being on antibiotics throughout the year. I was told it was not recommended to have antibiotics in your system before a laser hair removal session. Its expected to wait 4-6 weeks after being off antibiotics before returning. The management on the phone simply told me they only honor packages where the last appointment was no more than one year ago. I explained my medical reasons and was still denied. Is there any way I can fight for my package?

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Please review the contract you signed. The contract sets the terms and may limit your options. It may help to have an attorney review the contract with you.
Even if you are Sorely Out of Luck you may still attempt to seek remedies alternatively. File a complaint with BBB and the Florida Attorney General consumer division. Go to google maps and file a bad review or comment.
Ultimately, they may be willing to offer you a discount or honor the package.
Good luck.
