Any attorney will say you can't just "put a lien" on the equipment. Hopefully, the buyout contract provided you a security interest in the equipment that you can perfect and execute on in the event of a payment default. A review of the buyout contract is necessary. If not, you will have to sue, get a judgment, then try and collect on the judgment. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
