Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
This is in reference to memberships. If acompany has paid a membership for an individual from an association and that member quits should the company be allowed to transfer that membership to another employee. The association involved said its their policy not to allow transfers that the pewrson it was ppurchased for keeps the membership..

Based on my understanding of the facts in your question, I advise you that the association has a legal right to set membership rules so long as they don't violate laws regarding discrimination, etc. Therefore, the association in this matter can restrict any transfer of a membership to another party without its approval.
