refund
Painted a car, customer was told $450. when picking up car said he was not completly satified, so after some discussion I said how be I take off $100 , so he paid the reduced price noe a week later he is coming back and wants a full refund, I told him when he accepted reduced price and took car that was the end of it,,, was I right, Thanks Bill's Body Shop

In response to your question, I can only give a general answer as I would need to know some other facts. Nevertheless, You do not have to reduce your fees any more. However, the customer may file a lawsuit in small claims court. The burden of proof would be on the plaintiff. I have not researched this for my answer here, but cust. would have to show you breached the contract or he/she may try to proceed under a theory of negligence. Under the latter theory, cust. would have to prove , in short, a reasonable person would find the work was not acceptible to a legal standard (prob. what would be considered customary in the industry).
