Refurbished Equipment

I recently made an online purchase presumably for a new product. I was shipped a refurbished unit & now the company is giving me a hard time returning it. My credit card company is also telling me that they will not let me dispute the charge. Their claim is that it is not fraud since the item description did not say ''brand new''. Isn't this usually assumed? Is it the seller�s responsibility to disclose such information? Do I have any rights here?

Unless the ad states refurbished or used you are correct. Both of them are giving you a run around.

Insist on disputing the charge and if they refuse threaten to cancel the account.
