Wow that's a really great question. Nice job on the website. It seems to me you're not actually selling anything, but only earning commissions from affiliate links. I can't tell for sure. If you were selling audio and video equipment and related products, then definitely you're running a business and of course pay federal income tax on whatever you're earning. Even if you're only selling online, then you're in business. Whether or not your county requires a business license for a 100% online businesses . . . I don't really know. You'd have to go through the county business code, and maybe Florida's. It's an even more difficult question if you're only earning commissions for affiliate links and not actually selling products. Yes of course you have revenues and expenses of hosting the website. And if the payments from Amazon are coming to you in your own name, and not to a Limited Liability Company, then you'll file a Schedule C along with your federal Form 1040 personal income tax return. I don't think this has been helpful, unfortunately. Here's the thing: are you earning any real money? Probably not. If you're getting a few hundred dollars a year then no, you don't need to "register a full business." Once you start making money, then you need to step up and keep books and records and have your i's dotted and t's crossed, and that's when you have to get your taxes done by a professional and get setup with a bookkeeper, and a local tax preparer (use an Enrolled Agent) is going to know more than anyone what you need to do.

I hope that was a little bit helpful.

Good luck.
