Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I have registered 3 domain names for 3 separate on-line businesses. Within the next 12 months I want to open a "flagship" service store for pets. Ultimately the store and its concepts will result in franchising opportunities.
I need to establish an entity before I can progress any further. Should I have an LLC (myself owning 51% and my partner 49%)? Can I establish the 3 on-line businesses and the flagship store as DBA's under this LLC?
Thank you

A franchise attorney, such as myself, will say it's not possible to provide an answer without more information. From a potential franchise perspective, it's always good to scan out as far as possible to see opportunities (and pitfalls). If you're thinking about ultimately franchising, an LLC is not be the best way to go. The franchise puzzle has many pieces, and not going into it with a clear path will create costly mistakes down the road. Consult with a good franchise attorney for specific advice.
