Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
am i responsible
I manage a business for someone. I have check signing rights on two of the business accounts. Hired a non licensed contractor to do some work. Gave him a check written to him to buy materials. He bought only part of materials and then skipped town. He left us a title to his mobile home and it was used for employee housing. My boss said I am responsbile for the money he left town with. Am I?

Not legally, since you were acting in your capacity as an employee.
