Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
hi, I took over a restaurant 3 years ago and change my company name, but never let the waste company know and use their service to pick up trash, now i want to cancel it but they said i have to pay liquidated damages because i still have contract with them. I never signed any contract with them and never receive any renewal notice, but they said i paid every month then they assume i accept the contract, is it true? do i have to pay the fine? i never know and never see what is the contract about. Thank you for your help.

Their argument sounds like garbage to me. They will have to prove a contract with you.
