Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Do I have the rightaway in sueing this car dealership?
I bought a used car from a dealership. I beleive that they sold me a bad car and in some way ripped me off. I have had the car for 5 months and already has had numerous complications that have come from the past.
The car is a 1996 Nissan Sentra GLE the price sold for was 9995 I financed almost 13000 for 60months with no money down. As I have done more and more research I found that this car has had a past paint job, needs a new part that costs $400, needed a tune up in which parts where in very very bad shape, needed to have rotary brakes replaced and not to mention a brand new tire in replacment of the old one. From what the mechanic told me regarding the tire, he said that I was lucky I was not involved in a accident, and did not know how I was driving around with it!!
Now what I want to know if there is any legal action that I can take against the dealership?

Re: Do I have the rightaway in sueing this car dealership?
Did you purchase any warranty? Did the dealer attach any warranty to the sale? If the answer is "no", then you simply purchased the vehicle "as is". I dont' recommend you spend money to take them to court, but you can approach the sales manager with these complaints and see what they'll offer to do. Always have a professional examine a used car BEFORE you buy. JMC
