if you own a s corp. with one partner 50/50 can you be called employees of that
two questions:
1. if you are a partner of a s corp 50/50, can you be called a employee of the corp?
2. if you change the name just a little from: Pineapple house interiors, Inc. to Pineapple house interior design , inc. that is then a complete other corporation? with new ein and new sales tax #'s?

Yes, a shareholder can be an employee of a corporation.
If you do use another name with Corporation or incorporated or
an abbreviation, then you are in essence creating a
different legal entity that should be incorporated and
have a different FEIN number. Your present corporation
can operate under different fictitious names without
incorporating as a separate business. However, you should
register the fictitious name with the Secretary of
State. The fictitious name cannot include the words
corporation or incorporation.
