Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
i signed an offer of employment that states:your offer of employment is conditional upon your acknowledging and signing this offer letter and a contract promising a minimum 1 year employment. I have not signed the contract promising the 1 year. i decided to remain with the company i am with and not change. I know the company who wanted to hire me started make prepreations for my start. Should i be worried about backing out of the offer of employment. (i live in Florida)

Based on facts described in your inquiry, you should not be concerned about
legal retribution if you did not sign the employment contract specifying
term, work conditions, salary, etc. Signing the offer may involve some
penalty, depending on its terms, but it is not an enforceable employment
contract, and you may decide to not execute the employment contract.
