Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I am a small business, that unfortuntely owes some venders $. I have a judgement against me. I am making payments. I keep getting summoned by a particular law firm to give depositions. The latest one is an hour from my home. Is this common practice?

Usually, if you have reached an agreed payment plan on the judgment and you are keeping current on those payments, collection attorneys will leave you alone. However, if you don't have an agreed upon plan (even if you are making payments, or if the payments are sporadic, then most collection law firms will take your deposition as often as the client chooses to spend money to do so. That said, there is no rule - none - that prevents the creditor from taking your deposition as often as it chooses to do so, regardless of any other factor.
