Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Small Claims Court
I recently filed a small claims court action versus a client that owes me an amount of money. What are the implications should I decide to withdraw my complaint prior to the hearing date? Thank you.

Re: Small Claims Court
If you want to withdraw the complaint or "dismiss" the complaint, you can send a letter to the judge assigned to your case stating that you want to dismiss it. However, if you want to bring the claim against the same company again, you may be giving up your opportunity to do so. If you want to keep that option open, then say in your letter to dismiss without prejudice.
Good luck.

None if you do it without prejudice so you can restart at a later date.
