Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
My son sold his business (a gas station) about six months ago. The buyer had his accountant check the books, had his brother in the business for over two weeks checking it out before purchasing it. Since purchasing it, the buyer has fired everyone that worked there, changed pricing, etc. and is now threatening to sue my son because he says he is not making as much money as my son said he would. Can he sue?

Well, it is easy to sue. The question is whether he would win. It does not sound like he has much of a case, but it would depend on the terms of the sales agreement.

If the purchaser was given full and honest disclosure your son should be able to defend the claim.
