If you have only a few shareholders, there is no practical difference in forming a small business corporation or LLC. They both accomplish the same things. However, with a corporation, you have to file a separate tax return for the corporation. With an LLC, you do not. The corporation would not have to pay taxes, but it has to file a tax return. The taxes are paid by the shareholders based on their income from the corporation.
We form a lot of corporations and LLCs for people, and we'd be happy to help you. We offer a free consultation.
