Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I am starting a business and have a partner. Will a typed paper explaining the percenteges with signatures hold up in court? Or should I have an attorney do the paperwork and what kind of costs am I looking at?

Depending on what language you have it may be enforceable in Court. However, you will probably not have the best agreement and may leave out key provisions that could help either of you down the line. The absence of those provisions may even be harmful to either of you. More importantly, a partnership may not even be the proper vehicle for you. Most attorney's will give you a free consultation, or charge a fee of typically under $200.00. You should contact one immediately to discuss the particulars of your situation.
You need an enforceable partnership agreement. The cost will depend on what is involved and the time devoted to preparation and execution. Minimum of $500. Each party may want their own attorney to review.
