Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

I am starting an LLC in Florida. I've obtained my Articles of Organization and company # from FL and I've received my EIN# from the IRS. I don't need a professional license (CPA, etc) because my business is telelcom. Am I missing anything else?

That is a very broad question, and one that leads to many more questions. Starting a business is never easy and asking short answers on a forum is generally not the most advisable way to start up. An attorney with experience helping business owners can spend relatively minimal time with you and probably answer many questions you have and many that you don't even know to ask.

There could be a thousand things you are missing, but without being able to conduct proper fact finding we may never know. One thing you didn't mention is a local "occupational license". These are often required by the municipality where your business is located. Sometimes, if you are inside the city limits you need both a city and county license. Sometimes you don't. Some municipalities charge different rates based on the type of business and even the amount of sales. Without knowing where you are intending to operate it is close to impossible for anyone on this forum to tell you if you need any of these occupational licenses.

There may be other concerns for your business and you as well: Are you going to hire employees? How many? How are they going to be compensated? Are you leasing or buying office/work space? Do you know whether your business is permissible in the location where you intend to operate? (this may be determined by the municipality or even the neighborhood or building where you intend to work) Are you franchising, or is this completely on your own? For an attorney to provide a well reasoned and professional response we really should know the answer to most if not all the questions I just presented to you, as well as many others.

So I guess the simple answer your question of "Am I missing anything else?" is no one knows. Good luck with your endeavor, but I strongly recommend you don't start your business "on the cheap" by not hiring the professionals you need to help you succeed.
