Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
stolen contract
Over a period of 2 months I lent my live in boyfriend money to clear up a legal problem, pay off old debts and to get started in his own business. I also made him an authorized user on my credit card in order for him to establish credit. We had an ongoing contract keeping track of the total amount. He moved out on day while I was at work taking the contract with him. I had a copy made and hidden, but that is also gone. Besides copies of credit card bills and checks that I wrote for him I don't have much else. He went on a spending spree 3 days before he left and on several purchases he used a different address. Is that intent to defraud? Can I sue him for unjust enrichment and breech of contract?

Re: stolen contract
If you can find him, you can sue him. If he has asssets that are not exempt, you may even collect. I hope you cancelled the card, may even report it to be stolen
Depending upon how much is involved the economic considerations may make it unfeasible to sue. You should consult with competent counsel prior to going forward.
