Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Structuring My Business
I have a LLC, that I sell information products with. I want to also practice the techniques in the information prodcuts that I sell (real estate investing).
I would like to use the same Name as my LLC I currently have.
So my question:
1. Can I have a separate department (so to speak) of my current LLC) for real estate investing? That way I could keep using the same name.
2. Is there a way I can create a separate entity (LLC or Inc.) and use the Same Business name as my information products LLC name?
3. Should I just create a new LLC for my information products and start using my current LLC for my real estate business?
I want to just do #1, BUT I don't want to expose my info product business to the liability of the other (real estate investing).
Having the Same Name in a practicing real estate investing LLC, would help build credibility within the information products side of the business.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
