Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Suing for Interest Due on Overdue Invoices
A client has owed me several thousand dollars for almost a year and owes me almost $500.00 in interest. They just sent payment for the principal balance due with a check that has ''Payment In Full'' written on the front of the check.
If I cash that check, will I still be able to sue them for the interest due? Or is cashing the check a tacit approval of acceptance as ''Payment In Full''?
