Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
over time
Hi, I am currently employed full time at a company in Ft Lauderdale I am paid salary and its not bad. I have no problem and even understand that I dont get paid 1 hrs or even couple of hours when some thing needs to get done, but when its starts to become a routine that every day is a 12-15 hours a day and then on top come in on weekend. With out getting paid for it. Is that ok or is there a law that say that even salary employees needs to be paid the total hours they work.
Also I took 1 day off and did not got paid for that day

Re: over time
Just because you are salary does not automatically exempt you from being eligible for overtime. There are other factors to consider in determining your eligibility.
If you need help in determining whether you qualify for overtime you may call my office and I can assist you or find an attorney in your area to help you out. I recently relocated from West Palm/ Ft Lauderdale and can point you in the right direction.
