What type of stock should I issue and how do I go about it?
Most corporations issue only common stock. Common stock carries voting rights in the corporation--one vote per share of stock owned. You can also issue non-voting stock in order to maintain control while allowing for additional ownership. No-par value stock means the stock can be sold or exchanged for any price. Par value stock has a set value under which the stock should not be sold.
