Re: is a verbal contract legally binding?

Yes it is legally binding; but there is an old saying, I think from Sam Goldwyn that "a verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on!"

Verbal contracts are legally binding, but not if it concerns real property. You need to consult with an attorney and explain all the facts so that the lawyer can properly evaluate your particular situation. If you're entering into a deal or promise that matters to you, reduce it to writing. Otherwise, it may become a finger pointing contest if a dispute ever arises.
