Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

My wife and I are members of a club. Over the past couple of years the BOD has begun systematically attacking some members. They enforce rules not in our By-laws, they refuse to put fees they are now charging in writing so we cannot see if we should have to pay them, they now have their cashiers do the reports, balance the registers, and then turn the money and reports in to the treasurer. People who are not "one of them" are attacked for reasons made up on the fly. Many of us are not permitted to have be in a group of more than 6 people, etc. What kind of attorney do we need, and is there a state dept. to complain to? We are in Florida.

Thanks

It sounds like you need a business contracts attorney. The actions of the board may be a breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.

The State will not get involved.

Email me if you want, and I will further consider the issues.
