There are many complicated factors which can have an affect on your goals of forming a minority owned/controlled LLC. You should contact a business attorney in your area to discuss these factors with you .
Also, if you have not already done so, you should include conversations with a CPA in your dealings with your attorney. There may be advantages to you in business forms other than LLC, especially if you are considering working with government contracts.

It depends on a lot of different factors that cannot possibly be discussed in this typr of forum. There are lots of different options depending on what your agreement is. You should go and sit down with a business lawyer.
