There are many complicated factors which can have an affect on your goals of forming a minority owned/controlled LLC. You should contact a business attorney in your area to discuss these factors with you .

Also, if you have not already done so, you should include conversations with a CPA in your dealings with your attorney. There may be advantages to you in business forms other than LLC, especially if you are considering working with government contracts.
