Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

I work for a company that travels all over doing merchandising for retail companies. They provide us with a hotel room. I am a married female and I travel with my best friend, who is a male. He is also currently staying with my husband and I. My husband works local. Our company has set us up in a hotel and has us sharing a room without talking to either one of us before hand and making sure that it was ok. Is this legal for them to do?

Are you suggesting that the company should provide two hotel rooms, one for you and one for your friend? If you are the only employee of this company, they only need to provide YOU with a hotel room when you travel -- not your best friend. Only if your friend is working for the company as well, and he will be on the same business trip for the company, then the company should provide him with his own hotel room.
