Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

I work for a private restaurant that required us to purchase their own shirts for our uniform, among other items we had to buy alone. The uniform is not appropriate for winter weather (I.E.- short skorts and tank tops). On cold days they have told us we have to wear their jacket with their logo ONLY. One problem, they are not in the restaurant to purchase just yet and it is beyond freezing. Do the worker's have any legal right to wear a plain black sweater until the new jackets arrive?

Your employer must make reasonable accomodations for the comfort, safety and wellbeing of its employees. You should be just fine wearing weather appropriate clothing so long as your appearance is on par with the restaurant's standards. Remain calm and cordial no matter what happens, and to appropriately preserve your rights you should take note of who makes statements, who takes what type of action, and who is present during these events.
