Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

writ of garnishment against business account

I've been told (by clerk of courts) that I can file a motion and writ of garnishment against a business that I've recevied a judgment against. However, I have to find out where the business has their bank account.(since corporations are supposed to be exempt from the banking privacy act) Is there an easy way to do this? Does a bank have to tell you if a company has an acct there. To have the sheriff collect anything takes a $2500-3500 deposit.(It seems like everything is on the side of the debtor. What type of lawyer handles this type of law?

Re: writ of garnishment against business account

You need the service of a lawyer who does collection ( creditors' rights) work. I am a cerified creditors' rights specialist. Have you obtained a Florida judgment? If not, then you must first domesticate your out of state judgment. Is the corporation still in business?

I suggest you call me at 305.940.8080 and we can fully discuss your matter.
