wrongful determination

I was an employed in a security company. I was determinated because my account manager told me that he has some evidence about me and my superviser who have a sexul relationship in the work place. I know that is not true.And i never even close to that. What can i do about that ? i have no job right now and my relationship with my boyfriend is already upside down because of that and i cant even put my feet in the work place because everyone thinks that is true.

Unless you had a contract that prevented termination (which, in Florida, is very unlikely), they can fire you for any reason except something protected by federal law (age, sex, race, religion). You are entitled to unemployment benefits, however. You could approach the supervisor about clearing this matter up, but it sounds like they just want to get rid of you.
