Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
My 30 year old son has a 1st degree felony from 10 years ago. He is planning on going to school and wants to be a lawyer. Could he become a lawyer with his background? He has problems finding a job because no one wants to hire him becauseof the charge.

He should call the state bar and research their history of allowing convicted felons to practice. I'm certain if he has turned a new leaf he could get through. Then if it is possible to practice he needs to do the same for the colleges and law schools because they also have standards for students. A strong work history or community service showing a change of life can get him in.
