Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
adjudication withheld
I went to court for an offense, I got probation with adjudication withheld. Does that mean that I have not been convicted of the crime? can I legally say on an application that I haven't been convicted. Please help me understand what that means.

Re: adjudication withheld
A deferred adjudication means there has been no finding of guilty. Also, if you successfully complete probation, the charges against you will be dismissed and you will have no criminal record concerning this offense. You may legitimately report that you have not been convicted of a crime, at least for this offense at this time.
