Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
i am an american citzen born aboard. i was incarcerated a year ago. for grand theft auto, i was the passanger of a stolen car. since that its has been 8 months. before i was incarcerated the only id i had was my us passport. i called that county jail that i was in , and they told me that they threw it away. before my sentencting i stated to the judge that the guy who press the charges at the time had my personal belonging incouding my birth certicate. i amhaving the worst time trying to prove im an american citzen. i cant get a job, i cant prove im an american citzen considering my id that i had, i couldnt get. can that county be resonponsible , i feel that they did be wrong somewere, and i just need some advice, ...???

The US customs and immigration officials will have a copy of your passport on file. Start there to get a replacement.
