Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
I was arrested on october 2nd for burglary and grand theft. I was 17 at the time, making me a minor. Florida has very specific laws when it comes to the 6th amendment rights in criminal trials. It was my understanding that a Juvenile has to be BROUGHT TO TRIAL within 90 days of his/her arrest.
My court date is set for January 8th, 98 days after my arrest.
Can I get these charges dropped? Please, go into detail. if I can, please tell me how. I need your help.

You need to speak with your public defender about the speedy trial rule. It can be waived and, perhaps, that has occured.
