Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

I bought a dog in Florida Sunday and the day after she is calling to ask for her back. Her son is haveing a break down over the loss of his pet. He is five years old. I do not want to give the dog back. She said she will take me to court over it. Does she have a chance

From what you have stated, you bought the dog fair and square. I can think of no legal theory under which she could sue you to reclaim the dog (although, I would be interested to know if she can state a valid claim). There is no time for her to reconsider and rescind the contract.

As a strictly human matter, I would probably feel bad for the kid and make arrangements to sell the dog back.
