My mother and father were married 11 years and after coming here from Cuba with my mother and brother they divorced based on adultery on my fathers part. My father never paid allimony nor childsupport for my brother and I and even when he came to America in 1992 when I was 15 he still never contributed to me or my brothers cost of living. My question is: can I or my mother sue him for back child support for raising me and my brother for 18 years by her self? He is now held a good position at his place of work for 10 years and i would like to know if my mother is entitled to any part of his retirement plan or back alimony that he also never paid. I have completely put myself through college due to the fact that my mother cleans houses and makes less than 10,000 dollars a year and I feel that me or my mother and brother should be compensated for the lack of financial support that was his obligation. thank you for your time.
