Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

I was going to one doctor for two years and he retired. The doctor that took over the files keeps saying that they will fax them to my new doctor but it has not happened yet. It has been five weeks. I am getting doubtful about this. I went over there to chat with them about it and then acted very snobbish. I need to get my medical files. I can't get proper treatment because the doctor is holding my files. What can I do?

Get your current doctor to request the records. For some reason, doctors usually respond a little faster to requests from other doctors. Go figure.
