Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
ex-girlfriend suing
friend is getting sued by an ex-girlfriend claiming that she loaned him 10K to help him pay off bills so that he could start a business. there was no written contract and in her suit she is saying it was a verbal agreement and constructive trust. she has a list of things she paid, such as mrtg pmts, utilities, credit cards,,,,but no written agreement was made and they were together for 3 years. She left him a year ago and has wanted to come back to him until recently, now she is filing this claim. it is in Florida, does she have a case??

Re: ex-girlfriend suing
If your friend has been served with a complaint, he needs to file an answer denying the claims and should probably hire an attorney to defend him.
