Arent they going against our civil rights? We have both made mistakes and have grown from them. Please let me know if there is any way to fight this injustice. We are both paying for our mistakes to the State of Florida I do not understand why we cannot be married we are both different people now. Thank you for your time.

If your fiance is in prison, he is a convicted felon. As a felon serving out his sentence, his civil rights are restricted. He does not have the right to liberty and freedom, for example. The State also does not allow an inmate to receive visitors who are on probation or parole.

When your fiance is released from prison, you may get married.
