Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
My grandaughter ,myself and my husband were shopping at a simon mall in fl. My grandaughter was having a bad hair day and kept her pink, soft i love pink hoodie zip jacket on and her hood up . She was told by a mall gaurd to put her hood down. we were walking a few feet behind her and did not see this. When we caught up to her she told us what happened. I and my husband wanted to know why he did this. We were told and shown chapter 876 CRIMINAL ANARCHY,TREASON,AND OTHER CRIMES AGAINST PUBLIC ORDER 876.13 "wearing mask, hood,or other device on publicproperty,--No person or persons shall in this state, while wearing any mask, hood, ordevice wherby any portion of the face is so hidden.concealed or covered as to conceal the identity of the wearer, enter upon,or be,or appear upon or within the public property of any municipality or county of the state. Does this really apply to the mall .
