Generally, a person has the right to peaceably protest on public property, which includes sidewalks. Certainly a company can kick someone off of their private property, so picketing should be limited to a place when the protester has a right to be. They should avoid being in the street, however, since that can interfere with traffic. While people have the right to protest, there can be limitations on the place and time where they protest. The sidewalk is generally a safe place to be.
