Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

Internet harrassment

A former friend is using the internet, specifically the sites Myspace and MyYearBook to slander, harrass and threaten me via an acquaintance on those sites. I confided very personal things about my life to her when we were friends and now she is using this information against me in an attempt to ruin my life--name removed--

Upon reading the things she wrote, I instantly deleted my profiles off those sites. However, I have been informed that because she knows others on there know me and will read those things, she is continuing with her written harrassments. She is 44, I am 47, it's not like we're teenagers.

Do I have any legal grounds to put a stop to what she is doing?

Re: Internet harrassment

You said that you confided certain things to her. If she is posting things that you told her, there is nothing to do about that.
