Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

Internet law and libel

Recently a site was brought to my atention that posts my picture, name, state, city, and community information. Listed on this site also is my alleged HIV status. No one had permission to post this information and I need to know what I can do about first getting it off the site...and second finding out the responsible party...even if that includes holding the site itself responsible. There is no leagal disclaimer on the site prohibiting such actions. I believe Florida Law prohibits a posting of this nature and would like to initiate whatever action I can.

I am sorr to hear of this problem. It is a very frustrating and increasingly common issue these days.

However, a lawsuit would be very time-consuming and expensive. The best approach may be to retain an attorney to contact the offending parties and attempt to persuade them to cease and desist. I would need more detail to offer a better assessment.
